Today, Infinity and Jewel | The Firm had the privilege of participating in a momentous event celebrating Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Uganda and around the world. Hosted at the Imperial Royale Hotel, the event brought together nearly 400 dynamic businesses like ours, all eager to explore new opportunities and forge meaningful connections.
The day commenced with opening remarks from esteemed speakers, highlighting the pivotal role of MSMEs in Uganda’s economy. Keynote speeches from leaders such as Hon. Betty Amongi, Uganda’s Minister of Gender, Labour, and Social Development, underscored the Ugandan government’s commitment to supporting entrepreneurs and fostering an enabling business environment.
One of the highlights was the launch of initiatives like the WeWork program by the European Union through SB4U, aimed at empowering young entrepreneurs and enhancing their skills. This initiative resonated deeply with us as we navigate the challenges and opportunities in skilling young creatives and future leaders for the digital marketing and communications space.
Throughout the event, insightful panel discussions and presentations showcased success stories and innovative strategies from women and youth entrepreneurs. From Agnes of Arise, who expanded her export market with international partnerships, to Geoffrey of Kaara, who revolutionized logistics with electric bicycles, each story exemplified resilience and creativity in the face of challenges.
Networking proved invaluable as we connected with industry peers and potential collaborators. The exchange of ideas and experiences reinforced our belief in the power of community and collaboration in driving business growth.
As we reflect on this enriching experience, Infinity and Jewel | The Firm is inspired to continue our journey with renewed vigour. The event not only provided us with practical insights into scaling our offering across markets but also reaffirmed our commitment to innovation and excellence in the business consulting space.
Looking ahead, we are excited about implementing new strategies gleaned from the event, from leveraging connections and platforms to exploring avenues for international collaboration. We extend our gratitude to the organisers, speakers, and fellow participants for making this event a resounding success.
In conclusion, our participation in the MSME Day celebrations was not just a milestone but a reaffirmation of our mission to contribute to Uganda’s vibrant entrepreneurial landscape. With determination and strategic foresight, we look forward to achieving greater heights and making a lasting impact.
